About Attitude

Posted on 2010.05.24 at 16:11
"The longer I live, the more I realize the importance of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It’s more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, more than what other people think or say or do. It’s more important than appearance, giftedness or skills. It will make or break a company… a church… a home…

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me and ninety percent how I react to it."

Can't agree more!

I have a nice "Positive Attitude" poster at home that says the following:

Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results.

it's 100% how you react to life - all the events are mere consequences of your reactions
